The Sarv Karamchari Sangh (SKS) will hold a state-level rally on December 11 to protest government’s failure to redress their grievance. Subhash Lamba, general secretary of the Sangh, said district-level demonstrations will be held on November 4, followed by a meeting at Rohtak on November 13 to discuss the strategy.

He said the state government failed to remove anomalies in the pay structure recommended by the previous pay panel. Lamba maintained the notification issued to implement the Seventh Pay Commission’s recommendations also failed to provide any relief to several categories of employees, including those working on contract basis.

He termed 14 per cent hike in salaries of the government employees as insufficient and suggested a minimum increase of 44.29 per cent in wages. He said the Sangh, which represented the interests of 2.5 lakh government employees, would launch a series of protests as this was unacceptable.

Lamba said the state government had also not assured revision in wages of the employees of the civic bodies, corporations and the university staff. Announcing support to the NHM employees, he said the Sangh would demand the reinstatement of sacked workers.
