Value of real estate deals up 20% last week

Two exclusive deals in Al Wajba and Al Wukair worth QR525m have increased the value of real estate transactions over 20 percent last week compared to the previous week, said Ezdan Holding in its weekly report.
The real estate transactions reached QR755.2m in the fourth week of last month (from October 23 to 27) compared to QR628m the previous week, according to the weekly report issued by the property registration department at the Ministry of Justice.
However, the number of deals decreased 29 percent from 100 deals to 71 during the period of study.
After a long time, plots of land outpaced ready-buildings in transanctions by about two percent. Plots of land contributed 59.9 percent of the total transactions.
The biggest deal was a plot of land measuring 50,245 sqm worth QR380m at a rate of QR7,563 per square meter. The deal was struck at Al Wajba in Al Rayan Municipality. The second highest deal was a housing complex measuring 96,100 sqm. The deal was made at Al Wukair in Al Wakra Municipality at a cost of QR145m, QR1,509 per square meter.
Al Rayan Municipality ranked first in terms of the value of the real estate transactions.
It secured 13 deals worth QR421.5m.
However, the highest numbers of deal - 16 worth QR76.2m - were struck in Doha Municipality that ranked third in terms of value.
Al Wakra Municipality ranked second with seven deals worth QR169.5m. Umm Salal Municipality ranked fourth and secured 13 deals worth QR46.5m.
Eleven deals worth QR28.6m were made in Al Dain Municipality. Al Khor and Al Zakhira Municipality witnessed four deals at a cost of QR7.8m. Al Shamal Municipality recorded the lowest transactions in term of value at QR5.1m caused by seven deals.
