NSCN-K cadre held

ITANAGAR: Security forces in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh apprehended a National Socialist Council of Khaplang (NSCN-K) cadre from Kharsang.
The Jairampur Battalion of Assam Rifles, under the aegis of Dao Division, apprehended the rebel on Monday. He has been identified as Chankap Mossang of Phinbero-II village from Kharsang, an official communique said here on Tuesday. Acting on specific inputs about the presence of underground cadres in the area, a joint operation was launched by the troops of the Assam Rifles and Arunachal Police, which led to the arrest.
The arrested cadre was handed over to Kharsang Police Station, the communique added.
