BEGUSARAI: Two Bangladeshi nationals were arrested from a coach of New Delhi-bound Sampark Kranti express at Barauni railway junction of the district on Monday.
GRP inspector Alok Pratap Singh said the two were arrested following their suspicious behaviour during a routine checking. They were identified as Mohd Salim (24) and Mohd Mustafa Kamal (24), residents of a refugee camp in Bangladesh.

“Salim and Mustafa told police during interrogation that they had spent a year at a refugee camp in Myanmar before being shifted to Bangladesh. They crossed the international border to reach Agartala and later boarded the New Delhi-bound train to reach Jammu & Kashmir on ‘someone's direction’,” Singh said and added a cellphone with Indian sim card was recovered from their possession.
A two-member team of Anti-Terror Squad from Patna later reached Barauni to interrogate the duo. They were also being medically examined, inspector Singh said and refused to divulge further details.
