Dug-up roads, real estate construction projects and open drains still top residents’ complaints

Residents had in mid-day’s June 6 report complained of unchecked construction, dug-up roads and open drains. We found that little action was taken on those complaints. Construction sites may have changed, but unchecked realty projects still thrive.

Debris from these sites worsens the pollution. Most of the roads dug up have been re-laid, but potholes have taken their place on the complaint list. Only at a few spots have drains been covered. Rats infest open drains elsewhere, scurrying into shops and residences.
