Lucknow police Saturday exhumed the body of a 13-year-old girl, which was buried inside her house in Qaiserbagh police station area. Police said, victim Nancy was suffering from prolonged illness and was bedridden for the last three months.

Nancy was staying with her father Raj Kumar, a painter, who was looking after her. Nancy’s mother died around around three years ago.
Police have sent the body for autopsy and waiting for its report to decide next course of action. Raj Kumar is missing since morning, police said.
Circle Officer, Qaiserbagh, Abhay Nath Tripathi said, so far no FIR has been lodged in the matter and they are waiting for postmortem report.
Raj Kumar was living with his daughter Nancy in one room of the house located in Sunderbagh area, while his other three brothers lives in another portion of the same building.
On Saturday morning, Raj Kumar’s younger brother Sunil Kumar saw his room locked from outside. When Raj Kumar did not return home in the afternoon, he called up police.
CO said that the police broke open the door and found a portion of the room dug up. Senior police officials were informed about the matter. Later, in the presence of City Magistrate, the portion was dug up and dead body of the girl recovered.
Raj Kumar’s family members identified the body as that of Nancy.
