AJMER: A team of Intelligence Bureau (IB) on Friday seized the passport and some papers from the house of Maulana Ramzan at Bassi Mohalla in Nagaur city.
Ramzan was arrested by Delhi police on charges of spying for Pakistan's ISI.
Ramzan's wife, who returned after attending a ceremony at a relative's house, allowed the team to search her house. Sources said that the team seized Ramzan's passport and some papers.
"She denied knowing anything about the involvement of her husband in any such crime," said a source, adding that she cooperated with the team and answered all questions.

Meanwhile, Nagaur police didn't find any criminal background of Maulana Ramzan and Subhash Jangid, who was also arrested by Delhi Police on charges of spying for Pakistan.
The authorities on Friday checked records at all police stations of the district but not a single criminal case was found registered against the duo. Meanwhile, the family of Subhash came forward and denied charges of spying against him.
Ramzan and Subhash ran shops in the local market of Nagaur city.

"We verified from different police stations and found that there were no cases against them," said an official. Sources said that now police are verifying the contacts of Ramzan and Subhash to find out if there were other persons in the district involved in the alleged spying racket.
"Ramzan basically belongs to Barmer district and therefore, we have asked our counterparts there to verify his contacts," said a police official. Hariram Jangid, Subhash's father and physical training instructor (PTI) at a government school, rubbished all charges against his son. Hariram said he is a teacher and therefore he has taught discipline to his son.
"I myself had killed Subhash if he were involved in such a crime," said Hariram.
He said his son had informed him that he was going to Delhi to purchase some goods for his shop.
He was to meet some 'agent Shanker' in New Delhi who was to provide him with cheap crackers for Diwali.
"My wife Shanti Devi fainted when she heard the news of the arrest of Subhash," said Hariram. A friend of the accused said that Subhash was a good friend of Ramzan and that they also had some business relations. "He (Subhash) played cricket with me and almost every Sunday, he reached the ground to participate in the match," said the friend.
