Four Labasa players have been released from national camp in Ba to team up with Babasiga Lions against Dreketi in the Vodafone Premier League at Subrail Park today.

This was confirmed by the Labasa Football Association vice president Varun Anand yesterday.

“Akuila Mateisuva, Ratu Anare, Edwin Sahayam and Akeimi Ralulu have been released from the national camp few days ago,” Varun said.

“We are very delighted to have these players group with the others to improve our standing in the league points table.”

“Our match with the neighbouring team would be a crucial one.”

Strategic plans have been prepared by Pita Bolaitoga who has been helping the team to prepare for the league in absence of Ronil Lal who had been away for work commitment.”

“We want to remain consistent with our performance after winning the Courts Inter-District Championship,” Anand said.

“Last weekend we had two matches, against Nadroga and Lautoka and we managed to win both.

“I know many people are busy preparing for Diwali; however I would like to request the fans of Babasiga Lions to come forward to support their team on Diwali eve in their very home ground.”

The match will be at 7pm.
