Mumbai: Former corporator Razzak Khan and his son, Amjad, who have been arrested for allegedly murdering RTI activist Bhupendra Vira, were on Friday sent to judicial custody till November 28.
Vira was shot dead on October 15 at his house in Kalina. While crime branch officials have recovered the weapon used in the shooting, the ballistic report, that will establish if the bullet that pierced Vira’s skull was fired from the same weapon, is awaited.
Amjad had told the police he alone planned to kill Vira since he was filing RTI applications and four of his properties had been issued demolition notices.
