North Dublin stood still as tragic hit-and-run victim, Lee Henry was given one final send off in front of what must have been the whole of Darndale.

Lee (13) was killed last week when he was struck by a car near Belcamp House.

The teenager was given a guard of honour from classmates and friends all the way from his on Primrose Grove to Our Lady of the Immaculate Church - dozens of children wearing printed t-shirts of Lee with the words, 'Lee - Our Angel'.

Tributes for the talented young teen came from his principal, his brother and even his Liverpool hero, Steven Gerrard.

It's understood the former Liverpool captained signed a jersey this week for Lee.

Avid GAA fan Lee even had the Boys in Blue by his side.

A signed Dublin jersey from all the players was placed on his white coffin, while the Sam Maguire Cup was carried alongside him en route to the church.

In a heart warming tribute, his brother Daniel said one of the things he'll miss the most is Lee's knack for getting gossip on everybody - giving him a nickname after a Coronation Street character.

"Lee - aka Norris. If any of us wanted to know anyone's business, we would ask Lee," he said.

"He knew everyone's business. It was always gas until he was telling your business to someone else.

"He was everyone's friend, he had a heart full of love," he added.

As the mass came to a close, fittingly Lee was taken away to a rendition of You'll Never Walk Alone.

But not before Daniel got the whole church to stand and applaud his little brother.

"Night little bro, until we meet again."
