Prince's former compound Paisley Park has officially been approved as a museum, according to the Chanhassen, Minnesota City Council. The facility is expected to draw over a half million visitors a year and news of the approval came from the town's mayor.
"I'm happy for the council, I'm happy for the community, I'm happy for the operator," said Mayor Denny Laufenburger. "[It's a] big benefit for the community."
Tours of the facility will take place Thursday through Sunday and single tickets will cost $38.50. VIP tours are also available for $100. The museum will include tours of his studio space as well as viewing of various pieces of memorabilia from throughout the Purple one's venerated career.
