Hull striker Adama Diomande has been banned for three matches after appearing to strike Bristol City's Marlon Pack in Tuesday's EFL Cup game.

The 26-year-old has admitted violent conduct over the incident in the closing minutes of Hull's 2-1 away win.

Diomande will miss the Premier League fixtures against Watford, Southampton and Sunderland.

He will be available again for the Tigers' home match against West Brom on 26 November.

Hull are also without fellow forward Dieumerci Mbokani until mid-November with a hamstring problem with Abel Hernandez and Will Keane expected to share the attacking duties in the pair's absence.

Hull, who are 18th in the Premier League, advanced to a last-eight tie against Newcastle with their win over Bristol City.
