Delhi Dynamos coach Gianluca Zambrotta has urged his strikers to start firing and get the campaign back on track as they faced struggling FC Pune City in the Indian Super League clash at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Delhi, on Thursday. But even with Delhi enjoying the larger share of possession and the chances created, they weren’t able to score as the contest finished 1-1.
In the first half stoppage time, Pune took the lead against the run of play with Jose Rodriguez Tato leaping highest on the far post to head the ball behind the goalkeeper and make it 1-0.
Delhi continued their raids on the Pune goal but remained luckless as far as goals were concerned. Marcelinho had a glorious chance with the goal gaping in front of him but he sent his side footed effort into the side netting to keep Pune in the lead.
However in the 79th minute, Milan Singh scored his first of the league to equalise matters for the home side. He took a first time shot from a free kick to drill the ball in the corner of the goal.
