Spy Pics: Ferrari F12 M Spotted Testing
Ferrari's next V12 powered supercar has been spied testing without a hybrid in sight.
Italian supercar marque Ferrari doesn't seem to be a carmaker that likes to sit idle for too long. The Italian supercarmaker is hard at work testing its next V12 supercar as it aims to keep rivals like Lamborghini and McLaren in its wake.
The new V12 supercar will be the replacement for the current F12 Berlinetta and is expected to debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.
The new car is expected to be called the F12 M, was spotted testing near Ferrari's headquarters in Maranello.
The test mule which was kept wrapped under heavy camouflage and was guided along the Italian city by other Ferraris.
The F12 M retains the familiar body shape of the current F12 Berlinetta, suggesting that the car will be more of a facelift than a brand new car.
Up front, under the hood will be tweaked version of Ferrari's atmospheric V12 that is expected to produce more power than the current F12's 730bhp output. Power levels are expected to be closer to the mental F12tdf's 769bhp output.
The increase in power should help the new F12 M better the current car's sprint time from 0 - 100km/h of 3.1 seconds.
To ensure that the F12 M is able to handle the extra power, Ferrari is expected to add the F12tdf's four wheel steering system to the new car.
However, despite multiple rumours suggesting a hybrid model, the new car does not seem to have a motor bolted on as can be seen in the video.
