PUDUCHERRY: Puducherry Lt governor Kiran Bedi on Wednesday said the Union territory would have more beaches in the next four to five years and would beat Goa in many ways including better tourism infrastructure.
Releasing a coffee table book titled 'Gamechangers,' brought out by The Times of India (ToI), Bedi said the Puducherry government had submitted a proposal to the Union government for developing more beaches.
She said the Union territory had not been explored completely and vowed to promote Puducherry's all-round development aggressively.
"Every weekend I explore new places in the Union territory along with a team of officials from the public works department and sanitation. We have come across unexplored beaches that were not known to even many people in Puducherry. Puducherry, known for its spiritual ambiance with the presence of Sri Aurobindo Ashram and Auroville, will have more beaches in the next four or five years and will beat Goa in many ways in the years to come," Bedi said.
She outlined the importance of adapting to the different situations and setting goals for employees of private sector to succeed in the ever-competitive business world.
The coffee table book is one of a kind publication that profiles the smart workplaces of Tamil Nadu in 2016 and recognizes the leading employer brands of the state. The book highlights their value proposition, learning and development, work-life balance, health and wellness, employee engagement initiatives and other reward mechanisms that keep an employee involved and satisfied.

Times of India associate vice-president Namr Kishore and assistant vice-president Anand Moorthy were present on the occasion.
