INDORE: The Indore bench of high court on Tuesday adjourned the case filed by Ritesh Inani against the police and two persons who attacked him on grounds that a transfer petition of the case is pending before the Apex court.
Justice Prakash Shrivastav ordered that the case be adjourned till November 11, whereas the petition which sought the transfer of the case will be heard by the Supreme Court on November 7.

The petition had been filed by the accused Shailam Khajanchi before the Apex court, on which the court had on October 21 issued notices on the transfer petition as well as on the application for its stay.
On the final hearing, Shailam Khajanchi's sister Surbhi Khajanchi had submitted before the court that they wished for the case to be transferred to some other court since no lawyer was ready to represent the accused in the high court here in Indore. Inani alleged police had not taken any action against the accused while police said both sides of the matter were being looked into.
