Isabella Rossellini and Kyle MacLachlan celebrated the 30th anniversary of their David Lynch cult classic “Blue Velvet” with a screening at MoMA, followed by a party, appropriately at lingerie boutique Agent Provocateur.
Rossellini introduced the edgy film, telling the crowd that Lynch’s direction during a tense S&M scene with Dennis Hopper required the late actor to “look directly into” what we’ll just call an intimate area of hers “for the entire take.”
“We didn’t know we were going to do a film that would be so successful,” Rossellini told us.
