Wrestlers undergoing training at Chhotu Ram Stadium in Rohtak have brought laurels to the state by winning seven medals in the recent Senior National Wrestling Championship organised in Gonda, UP.

Wrestling coach Mandeep said three Rohtak wrestlers had won gold and four bronze medals. The national event was organised from October 22 to 25.

The wrestlers who have won gold medals are Deepak Rana (Greeko-Roman, 71 kg), Pinki Malik (69 kg) and Pinki (53 kg). Nikki (75 kg), Ritu Malik (63 kg), Reena (55kg) and Pramod (80 kg) won bronze medals in their respective categories.

The champion wrestlers were felicitated at the stadium on their return to Rohtak this evening. Coach Narender and Olympic medalist Sakshi Malik, a product of the same stadium, were also present.
