TOKYO -- Lotte Holdings, which oversees the Lotte group's operations in Japan, said Wednesday that Vice Chairman Shin Dong-bin will remain in that position despite his recent indictment in South Korea on breach of trust and embezzlement charges.
Shin, who goes by the name of Akio Shigemitsu in Japan, serves as chairman of Lotte group in South Korea. A business empire founded by his father comprises a wide range of businesses, with main focuses on that country and Japan.
