Husqvarna rolled out a number of updates to its battery- and gas-powered handhelds, as well as redesigned accessories at 2016 GIE+EXPO.

The latest additions to its battery series lineup include the 536LiPT5 and 536LiP4 pole saws. Also new is the 536LiLx trimmer, which has a brushless motor and two-way rotation head that allows users to operate the trimmer in forward or backward direction.

In its gas-powered portfolio, Husqvarna added new trimmers and edgers to its 500 Series. The 525ES edger features a steel drive shaft, while the 525ECS edger has a curved shaft with flex drive. Meanwhile, Husqvarna’s new 522L trimmer is simplified with a steel shaft. The 525LK trimmer has a detachable shaft.

In addition, Husqvarna launched the 439 chainsaw, developed for arborists, and put on display commercial zero-turn mowers such as the M-ZT 61 EFI, the P-ZT 60 EFI and the PZ 60 EFI.

Other features Husqvarna spotlighted at the trade show were a newly designed laminated chainsaw bar, featuring a closed bearing system and larger nose sprocket with more bearings and rivets. It also updated several new glove styles, such as its classic general-purpose gloves, with a synthetic leather palm; its functional gloves, featuring D30 palm padding and hi-viz material; and its technical gloves, donning a DurahideTM genuine leather palm.
