Spy Pics: Audi A4 35 TDI Spotted Testing In India
A new variant of the recently launched Audi A4 has been spotted testing.
German carmaker Audi last month launched the all-new A4 in India and we were a bit surprised at the lack of a diesel option for Audi's new rival for the Mercedes C-Class and the BMW 3 Series.
However, it would seem that Audi is hard at work trying to ensure that a diesel option for the A4 will soon be available for its customers in India as seen in these spy pics from Thrustzone.
The A4 spotted testing sports the 35 TDI badge which means that underneath the hood, Audi's trusty 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine that cranks out 187bhp and 400Nm of torque.
The engine is mated to Audi's trusty 7-speed automatic S-Tronic gearbox.
Expect the new diesel powered A4 to be more frugal than its predecessor thanks to the lighter MLB platform on which the new A4 is based.
Like its petrol powered sibling the new A4 diesl is expected to be packed with loads of tech inside including Audi's Virtual Cockpit Display and the 8.3-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
However, if you want an A4 right now and can wait for the diesel burner to arrive and you want to know how the petrol powered car drives, you can head over to our review of the new A4.
