CLEVELAND -- Game 1 of the World Series on Tuesday night featured an unlikely hero in Indians catcher Roberto Perez. He became the first No. 9 hitter in World Series history with a two-homer game, and he also framed the hell out of some borderline pitches. Perez was vital to the team's win (CLE 6, CHC 0).

Also vital to Cleveland's Game 1 win: shortstop Francisco Lindor. Lindor was once again his team's best player on offense, going 3 for 4 with a double and a stolen base on Tuesday. The stolen base won free tacos for America.

The only thing better than tacos is free tacos. Hooray for extreme advertising!

Anyway, in addition to winning America free tacos, Lindor's first inning stolen base also helped create the Indians' first run of Game 1. He also attempted to steal another base later in the game, but was thrown out. That's okay. With Jon Lester and his throwing yips on the mound, it's good to be aggressive.

Once again, Francisco Lindor had a huge impact for the Indians in Game 1. USATSI

The big Game 1 improved Lindor's batting line to .371/.389/.647 in 36 plate appearances and nine games this postseason. The Indians have scored 33 runs in the postseason and he's either scored or driven in eight of them, or 24 percent. Basically one-quarter of the team's runs in October were Lindor's doing.

I think most would agree Javier Baez has been the breakout star of the postseason, and that's not unreasonable. He's been awesome. So has Lindor though, and Lindor's team keeps winning. The Indians are now 8-1 this postseason with four shutouts, and their franchise shortstop seems to do something positive every night.
