New Delhi: Pakistan stood exposed after terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba claims responsibility for the Uri terror attack that killed 20 Indian soldiers in Kashmir in September.
The claim assumes significance after Pakistan government's constant and unswerving denial for being responsible for the attack on the Army base camp in Uri.
Funeral prayers for one of the Uri attackers, organized by LeT's parent organization Jamaat-ud-Dawa, were scheduled to be held in Gujranwala of Punjab, Pakistan, according to a poster that was circulated widely on social media.
According to media reports, the poster also said that an address by JuD chief Hafiz Saeed will be held after the funeral prayers.
"Funeral prayers in absentia for Mujahid Bhai Abu Siraqa Muhammad Anas martyr for having killed 177 Hindu soldiers in Kashmir," the poster said. The funeral is to be held at Sadabahar Nursery near Bada Nala Nawab Chowk Girjakh Gujranwala.
The poster bragged about how LeT's Abu-Saraqa attained "martyrdom" while carrying out attack on Indian Army Camp in Uri, Kashmir. The content on the poster also claimed that LeT terrorists had killed 177 Indian soldiers in the attack.
After the poster was widely circulated on social media, JuD claimed that it was a hoax, Pakistani Reuters correspondent Asad Hashim tweeted.

However former editor Dawn, Abbas Nasir in a tweet response confirmed that the funeral prayers had been postponed.

The terrorist attack on Uri Army base camp on September 18 that claimed at least 20 lives was one of the worst setbacks for the army in Kashmir in over a decade. Pakistan had so far rejected allegations of its involvement in the Uri strike.
