While there had been several speculations regarding Vikram’s next film after Iru Mugan, news straight from Hollywood director Fede Alvarez confirms that the actor would be starring in the Tamil remake of Alvarez's film Don’t Breathe. Responding to a question on Twitter, Alvarez wrote: “All true! (and exciting).”
Reports suggest that Vikram would be reprising Stephen Lang's role, and Anand Shankar is likely to helm the project. If this materialises, the film would mark the second collaboration between the actor and the young filmmaker.
Rumours doing the rounds also suggest that Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green is producing the film, but the news remains unconfirmed. Sources say that the film is likely to go on floors by December, with Vikram already on a strict diet plan for the role.
