Railways overall champs

New Delhi, October 25 

Railways finished on top in all three sections — men’s freestyle, Greco-Roman and female — at the senior National Wrestling Championship at Gonda, Uttar Pradesh.

Railways’ Lalita (women’s 55kg), Hardeep Singh (Greco-Roman 98kg), Harpreet (Greco-Roman 80kg) and Krishan Kumar (men’s 125kg freestyle) claimed the gold on the final day.

In the men’s freestyle 86kg, Deepak of Delhi won the gold. In the women’s 75kg, Jyoti of Delhi won the gold medal. Haryana, Delhi and SSCB were the other teams that put up impressive performances. — PTI
