The Medical Council of India (MCI) has announced the names of doctors who will receive the prestigious Bidhan Chandra Roy (B C Roy) award for 2014 and 2015 in various categories.

NEW DELHI: The Medical Council of India (MCI) has announced the names of doctors who will receive the prestigious Bidhan Chandra Roy (B C Roy) award for 2014 and 2015 in various categories.
The awards will be given by the President next year.
Dr Arvind Kumar from Sir Ganga Ram hospital (SGRH), Dr Randeep Guleria from AIIMS, Dr C S Palanivelu from GEM Institute of Gastrointestinal Diseases in Coimbatore and Fortis Escort Heart Institute chairman Dr Ashok Seth have been selected in the ‘eminent medical person’ category.

Dr D S Rana, chairman of Board of Management at SGRH, has been chosen in the category of recognising the best talents in encouraging the development of specialities in different branches in medicine.
AIIMS has maximum number of doctors from a single institution in the award list including Dr C S Yadav and Rajesh Malhotra from the orthopaedics department, cardiac surgeon Dr A K Bisoi and urologist Dr Amlesh Seth.
