Two youths, who travelled about 60 kilometres to buy a free Jio Sim, are now recuperating at a private hospital after they met with an accident near Kaikamaba under Bantwal traffic police station limits.

MANGALURU: Two youths, who travelled about 60 kilometres to buy a free Jio Sim, are now recuperating at a private hospital after they met with an accident near Kaikamaba under Bantwal traffic police station limits.
The incident occurred on October 23, when James Ronald Lobo, 19, son of Michael Lobo, resident of Kukkedi in Belthangady had stepped out of house along with his friend Ashwin Monis as pillion to buy a free Jio Sim from a telecom outlet in the city.
When the duo reached near B C Road around 2pm, a speeding tanker coming from Bengaluru hit the two-wheeler they were riding. As a result duo received severe injuries on their bodies and public rushed them to the nearby private hospital, police said. The youths are currently recuperating at a hospital.
A case has been registered at Bantwala Traffic Police Station under Indian Penal Code (IPC) 279 and 337.
