Cyclone Kyant growing stronger over east central Bay of Bengal

Port Blair, Oct 25 (UNI) The cyclonic storm ‘Kyant’ over east central Bay of Bengal is all set to intensify and move west-southwestwards.
According to weather forecast released by Andaman’s disaster control room, the cyclonic storm moved west-southwestwards this morning with speed 11 kmph and lay centered at 1430 hrs IST of October 25, 2016 over east central Bay of Bengal, near Latitude 16.8º N and Longitude 90.6º E, about 610 km north-northwest of Port Blair, 660 km south-southeast of Gopalpur and 780 km nearly east of Vishakhapatnam.
As per details, the system is very likely to move west-southwestwards towards west central Bay of Bengal during next 72 hours. By 27 the formation may result in wind speed of 80 to 90 gusting to 100 kmph.
