The campaign of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton had been begun planning to unleash a "Miss Universe" attack on Donald Trump since at least December of 2015.

That's according to a thorough research file on Trump which was prepared in December and emailed to Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta.

The research file maps out other plots to weigh Trump down ... even delving into allegations that Trump, as a child, threatened to call the police when he saw a ball accidentally bounce into his yard.

The 157-page document, prepared for the Democratic National Committee but shared with Clinton's camp by Clinton research director Tony Carrk, was released by WikiLeaks on Monday.

Clinton deployed the attack on Trump, the former owner of the Miss Universe pageant, at the end of the first presidential debate on Sept. 26. Clinton dropped that Trump had allegedly called the 1996 Miss Universe Alicia Machado, of Venezuela, fat while she was trying to lose weight after winning her crown. The media pounced and the story dominated election coverage in the mainstream media for nearly a week following the debate.

The research file maps out other plots to weigh Trump down, sometimes with the lowest, pettiest or skimpiest of charges.

Some of the plans involved tying Trump to skinheads and Nazis, pointing out Trump wants better trade deals but does business overseas and even delving into allegations that Trump, as a child, threatened to call the police when he saw a ball accidentally bounce into his yard.

The dossiers on Republicans Trump, Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz were put together on a regular basis by the Democratic National Committee. According to a Sept. 15 email released by WikiLeaks, the campaign decided to dump Rand Paul as an opponent to research, and to add Trump.

By December, serious Democratic opposition research was only being done on Trump, Rubio and Cruz.

But no dossier is as volatile as Trump's. Clinton's negative research chapters include: "Trump is a Liar," "Draft Deferments," "Bad Businessman," and "Climate Change Denier."

The dossier even goes into tawdry detail about Trump's first marriage to Ivana Trump.
