PANAJI: The Aam Aadmi Party on Monday denounced the anti-democratic remarks made by deputy chief minister Francis D’Souza.
Talking to reporters, AAP leader Oscar Rebello said that the remarks made by D’Souza depict a dictatorial ideology of the BJP. “The Aam Aadmi Party condemns the comments made by Francis D’Souza. Such statements, if unchallenged, will lead to dangerous repercussions for the citizens’ democratic rights and freedom,” Rebello said, alleging that the citizens’ democratic rights and freedoms are being curbed by a dictatorial functioning of the BJP government at the state and at the Centre.

D’Souza had said that there is an overdose of democracy in the country and it was spoiling everyone.
As the AAP unveiled two new members – Milind Ravindra Gauns from Navelim-Sankhali and Pramod Pandurang Gad from Kudnem-Sakhali, Rebello said that the party values the opinion of the common man. tnn
“We believe that the people have the perpetual right to question and hold accountable their elected representatives and government,” he said.
