Luiz celebrates Kante’s first goal in Chelsea colours

Chelsea central defender David Luiz claims Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante scores more goals than Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo in the Blues' training session.

Luiz, who returned to Stamford Bridge after spending two years at Paris Saint-Germain, has likened the French midfielder’s goalscoring abilities to that of the Real Madrid forward, “He scores a lot. In training he scores a lot, more than Ronaldo!" Luiz told The Sun.

Unfortunately for Luiz, Kante and Chelsea, the France international's goalscoring form is nowhere close to that of Ronaldo.

The Brazilian central defender heaped praise on Kante and hailed him as a "fantastic person." Luiz also went on to admit that his teammates were delighted when the ex-Leicester City midfielder was successful in putting the ball past David de Gea in Chelsea's latest crushing victory over United.

“This guy is a special guy, a fantastic person and a fantastic player. I think everybody saw, when he scored, that everybody was so, so happy for him. He is a totally amazing player and person and I am so happy for him," the centre-back added.

Kante left champions Leicester City and made a switch to the west London club to play under Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge. The Italian replaced Guus Hiddink as the manager at Chelsea, who was the interim manager after Jose Mourinho's exit last December.

The Portuguese international, who enjoyed a six-year spell at Manchester United, is one of the best players in the world and his astonishing goalscoring record for both club and country has put him in an elite category of footballers and one of the best players to have graced the football pitch.

Jose Mourinho, the former Real Madrid and Blues manager returned to the Bridge with his current side, Manchester United on Sunday, but things did not go as per the plan as the Red Devils suffered a humiliating 4-0 defeat at the hands of Chelsea, with Kante, Cahill, Hazard and Pedro getting their names on the scoresheet.

Chelsea and their fans will be delighted to see their change in fortune under the guidance of the former Juventus and Italy manager. Conte has revolutionised the Blues side and he will be hoping his side can continue their run in order to mount a title challenge in the 2015-16 season. The lack of European football should only boost Chelsea's chances of challenging other top teams for the title.
