On October 4 Google finally announced the launch of its own-brand smartphone to compete with Apple and Samsung smartphones, who are currently ruling the smartphone industry.
The much-anticipated Pixel phone will begin its sale in India starting today.
“Time to bring the new new. The bran new #Pixel, in stores now. #madebygoogle,” Google India teweeted.
Though the smartphone has been unveiled in three colour variants—Quite Black, Very Silver and Really Blue, the Pixel will be available in only two colours—Quite Black and Very Silver. The Really Blue colour variant of Google Pixel will not be launched in India.
Google Pixel smartphone will be available in India at a starting price of Rs 57,000.
To recall, the Android Nougat run Google Pixel features a 5-inch FULL HD AMOLED display while the bigger model Pixel XL features 5.5-inch Quad HD AMOLED display, both protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and powered by Snapdragon 821 processor. While the Pixel is fuelled by a 2770mAh battery, Pixel XL is packed with a 3450mAh battery. In terms of camera, both the smartphone sports 12.3MP rear sensor and an 8MP front sensor. The smartphones features 4GB of RAM and will come in 32GB and 128GB storage options.
