Soon, railway line between Jaisalmer & Kandla Port

JAISALMER: An MoU has been signed for laying a new railway line between Jaisalmer and Kandla Port and hopefully the work will start in next six months, said NWR GM Anil Singhal on Monday during his visit to Jaisalmer. The railway and government will share the cost of the project. Similarly, the first phase of railway dedicated freight corridor will get completed by 2018.
He said the project has been approved and the process of laying the railway line from Jaisalmer to Bhabhar has been started.This line will prove useful in supplying necessary items to the defence.Singhal added that at leading railway stations, RO plants will be set up. A and B plus category stations of Jodhpur division are included in this.
