Minister warns health staff of stern action

AMBALA: Health Minister Anil Vij has warned the National Health Mission (NHM) Employees Association of a strict action over its call for a statewide indefinite strike from October 25.

Ambala, October 24

Health Minister Anil Vij has warned the National Health Mission (NHM) Employees Association of a strict action over its call for a statewide indefinite strike from October 25. While addressing the media here today, Vij said: “Ad hoc employees can’t go on a strike. Strict action will be taken against them if they do so. Their post is temporary, so they have no protection under any law. Officials are keeping an eye over the issue.”

The association is demanding the regularisation of 10,500 contractual workers. — TNS
