Bodoland stir: Rail services affected

Guwahati: Rail services in Assam were affected on Monday because of the 10-hour rail roko agitation called by the All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU) to press for their demand for a separate state of Bodoland (for Bodos).



Guwahati: Rail services in Assam were affected on Monday because of the 10-hour rail roko agitation called by the All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU) to press for their demand for a separate state of Bodoland (for Bodos). Northeast Frontier Railway chief spokesman PJ Sharma said normal running of trains got affected at Kokrajhar, Basugaon, Udalguri and Rangiya due to the ABSU rail roko agitation. The protest affected at least 21 trains trains at different stations. TNS
