HCA men appear before ACB court

The Court adjourned the case to November 29.

Hyderabad: Members of the Hyderabad Cricket Association appeared before the ACB court in connection with the case filed against them in 2011. The Court adjourned the case to November 29.

Azgar Ali Qureshi had filed a petition in the court in 2011 alleging that there was cash misappropriation in the construction of a canopy in the north and south blocks of the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal. The court ordered ACB to inquire into the allegations.

ACB after conducting an inquiry, filed a chargesheet in September 2016 and summons were issued to members of the HCA governing body and the construction company Star Mercantile.

On Monday, former Test cricketer and current president Arshad Ayub along with officials D.S. Chalapathi, John Manoj, Venkateshwaran, G. Vinod, Naresh Sharma and R. Devraj and representatives of Star Mercantile appeared before the court.
