Apple’s October 27 ‘Hello Again’ event is drumming up a lot of excitement among Mac enthusiasts eager to catch a glimpse of the brand’s next generation of laptops. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has now weighed in on the occasion, predicting what exactly the company will launch on the fateful day.
Firstly, Kuo thinks Apple will come out with refreshed 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro models. His report confirms previous rumors which had alleged that the two may feature USB-C ports, Thunderbolt 3, a touch-ready OLED bar above the keyboard, and a Touch ID sensor.
New predictions consist of the presence of Intel Skylake processors, a brand new 2TB SSD option, and Type-C & MagSafe-like adapter produced by Apple or a third-party company. Kuo also thinks the new MacBook Pro notebooks will feature the same resolution as before but could be packaged within a better display quality and enhanced energy efficiency with the help of an oxide panel.

He also had some interesting insight on the unique new OLED touch bar, asserting that the component will run on a power-saving SoC which may be similar to the one found in the Apple Watch. The company might also be getting ready to present a 13-inch MacBook which may just be a new variant of the MacBook Air as has been hinted at previously.
Apple is also apparently working on revamped iMacs bundled with discrete AMD graphics and a standalone 5K display. However, these will allegedly not be ready for release until the first half of 2017. The two could still be announced on October 27 though, even if actual availability will be further down the line.
