Farmers protest against delay in distribution of wheat seed

Kaithal, Oct 24 (UNI) Agitated Haryana farmers blocked the Chandigarh-Hisar road to lodge their protest against delay in distribution of wheat seed by the local office of seed development corporation.
The farmers raised slogans against the administration for remaining indifferent to their demand. Bharatiya Kisan Union leader Satpal Dillonwali leading the protest said they had been doing rounds of department for the past more than ten days to get wheat seed but they said supply of seeds had not arrived.
However, now the employees were saying that seeds had arrived but they did not get information about rates of the seed so they could not distribute them, he added.
