A train running between south Wales and London has been renamed Y Cymro - The Welshman - to mark the reopening of the Severn Tunnel.

The 07:28 service from Swansea becomes the fourth named train running on weekdays between there and Paddington.

The tunnel reopened on Saturday after a six-week closure for electrification works.

Rail company GWR thanked passengers for their patience during the disruption while the work was carried out.

Alongside Y Cymro, the other Welsh named trains are The Red Dragon, St David and The Capitals United.
