Poet's ode to Muchalls bus service

Residents in an Aberdeenshire village say a new trial bus service will mean its ageing population will not have to risk crossing four lanes of speeding traffic to access public transport.

Locals in Muchalls, located near the A90 south of Aberdeen, have been campaigning for decades for better transport links.

One resident, Hugh Roche, has written a poem to highlight what he describes as the daily "dice with death" to reach the bus stop.

BBC Scotland's Fiona Stalker reports from the village.
