Katie Holmes, Jamie Foxx Marriage: Suri Cruise Getting Adopted By Stepdad?

Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx are planning to take their rumored relationship to another level. If recent reports are to be believed, then Foxx is soon going to apply in court to adopt Holmes’s daughter Suri Cruise.

A tabloid allegedly stated earlier this month that Tom and Jamie are in a custody battle over Suri. The story further claimed that the latter wants to prove Katie how “serious he is about her and her daughter.”

If these reports are to be believed, then will Tom be happy to give his consent?

In all stepparent adoptions, the consent of the other birth parent is required. If that other birth parent’s parental rights have been terminated due to abandonment, neglect or failure to pay child support, however, then that birth parent’s consent is not required.

According to reports, Tom has reportedly given $4.8 million to Katie for Suri’s educational and medical expenses. However, In Touch Weekly reported that it’s been nearly three years since the star saw his daughter in person, and although they used to speak in the past, things are not going well between them.

So, if these rumors are to be believed and if they are true, then it would be difficult for the Top Gun star to hold any grudges against his ex-wife and her rumored boyfriend.

Apparently, Gossip Cop debunked these adoption rumors and after contacting Foxx’s representative, they reported that the news of him adopting Tom-Katie’s daughter are “completely false.” Apart from this, the Django Unchained star has adamantly denied that he is romantically involved with the Dawson’s Creek’s alum.

“What I’ve learned about society today is that they’re so thirsty. Especially in tabloid world and social media world, they’re so thirsty to find any story,” he said. “Sometimes when you read the stuff you’re like, ‘Wow! That’s so not true!'”

This is not the first time these stars have come under the knife. Prior to this adoption rumors, there were speculations that the actress’s divorce agreement prohibited her from publicly dating anyone until 2017.

A report from Radar Online claimed that when Holmes decided to split with Cruise, she signed an agreement with him that stops her from publicly dating another man until 2017, talk about him in public or Scientology.

“She’s allowed to date, but she cannot do so in a public fashion, and she’s not supposed to let any boyfriend near their daughter, Suri,” the insider further added. “Katie wanted out of the marriage so badly, she agreed to the terms — and got $4.8 million in child support, plus another $5 million for herself.”

Not only this, a source close to the couple in question also revealed that the Jamie takes good care of Suri and knows how to impress Katie with small things.

“They’re both such great parents, and they’ve been talking about starting a family together for awhile now. They added that fans should expect an announcement from the couple within in next couple months. They’re slowly coming around to the idea of allowing their relationship to be known but they want to keep it private for as long as they can. They’re so in love, and keeping it all quiet makes Katie that much more crazy about Jamie. She feels like she’s hit gold with her new husband.”

So, according to these speculations, if the actress wants to go on with Jamie or anyone else, then either she has to break her agreement and return her $5 million or she has to wait for 2017 to come.

Tom Cruise has reportedly stayed single after his fall from Katie Holmes. At the same time, even Katie is not officially involved with anyone. Several rumors have surfaced about her moving on with Jamie Foxx, but none can be trusted as their representatives have always denied all the nonsense.
