AGRA: A day after his father was sacked from the Samajwadi Party, Ramgopal Yadav’s son, Akshay Yadav, who is a MP from Firozabad, has written an open letter accusing Shivpal Yadav of conspiring against Akhilesh and his loyalists in order to avenge his humiliation of not becoming UP’s chief minister.
In the letter Akshay says that ever since Mulayam Singh Yadav decided to hand over the state’s reigns to his son, Shivpal had been nursing a grudge and had even threatened “neta ji” that he would not take oath as a minister if Akhliesh was sworn in as the chief minister.
He further states that since Ramgopal and his family had been siding with Akhilesh, Shivpal was nursing a grudge against them also and had working against them ever since.
He accused Shivpal of working against the party’s interests and claimed that he had opposed him during the Firozabad elections. “I have proof that Shivpal tried his best to get me defeated in the polls”, he said.
Reacting to Shivpal’s allegations that his father had been in touch with BJP leaders and was trying to break the SP, Akshay said this was baseless and claimed that the state party chief had been himself in touch with BJP leaders. He alleged that Shivpal had been participating in one of BJP’s election victory party and had been hobnobbing with them along with Amar Singh.
Expressing full faith in Akhilesh’s leadership, Akshay said he wanted to see him become the chief minister of the state once again. He also denied allegations levelled by Shivpal against his father and his wife.
