Robbers loot petrol pump on highway

KANPUR: Armed and masked robbers struck at a petrol station on Bhognipur-Jahanabad highway in Ghatampur and looted Rs 90,000 on Saturday night. The robbers tied hands and legs of petrol station manager and salesman and also snatched a licensed double-barrel gun from the security guard. The robbers escaped in the SUV in which they came.
The police have registered a case under various Sections of IPC.The footages captured on CCTV cameras installed at various points on the highway are being checked. "A dog squad was also roped in for a breakthrough," SP (rural) Rajesh Kumar said.
