Anna Kendrick gives 'Trolls' a very velvet welcome

Leave it to Anna Kendrick to give Trolls a fashion-forward debut.

At the kid-friendly Los Angeles premiere on Sunday, the actress showed off an on-trend short navy velvet dress. (Nicole Kidman showed off a velvet gown recently at a premiere across the pond.) Kendrick talked about developing her troll, Poppy, earlier this year. "We wanted to make her happy but not the kind of thing that you couldn’t stand for a 90-minute movie," she said. "She’s got layers. She’s messed up. She’s the kind of troll that I like.”

Walking the rainbow carpet, Justin Timberlake showed off his Sunday vibes, too.
