Rs 90,000 fine on Bajwa Developers

MOHALI: The Mohali District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum has directed Bajwa Developers to refund a sum of Rs 23.17 lakh and pay a total compensation of Rs 90,000 for the mental agony caused to its three customers.

The Mohali District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum has directed Bajwa Developers to refund a sum of Rs 23.17 lakh and pay a total compensation of Rs 90,000 for the mental agony caused to its three customers. The forum ordered the local firm to refund Rs 8.75 lakh  and a compensation of Rs 30,000 each to Chandigarh residents Amit Kumar and Devraj Chandel in two cases. The firm has also been ordered to refund Rs 5.66 lakh and pay a compensation of Rs 30,000 to Radha Krishan in a separate case. The customers had complained that the coloniser had failed to give possession of their flats. — TNS
