Copycat Kejriwal levying gunda tax and rangdari in Delhi: SAD
Arvind Kejriwal.
LUDHIANA: The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) on Sunday termed AAP Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal as the biggest copycat who blatantly copies ideas from the manifestos of SAD and re-packages them as his own brainchild to promise moon to the electorates to deceive the people. Adding further Dr Cheema said Kejriwal government was busy in levying 'goonda tax' and 'rangdari' in Delhi which has led to 3 MLAs of AAP being booked.
The SAD leader further said in the garb of regulating the liquor trade, Kejriwal is threatening the liquor barons to pay up for his party funds.
In a statement here today, SAD Secretary and education minister Dr Daljit Singh Cheema said the promises made by Kejriwal to the traders in Ludhiana today on the occasion of releasing his party's trade manifesto, with regard to regularizing illegal colonies and abolishing VAT could best be termed as copied ideas because the SAD-BJP government had already taken effective action in this regard.
The SAD leader advised AAP supremo to stop promising moon to the people and better concentrate on ameliorating the lot of trading class in Delhi which was reeling under the repressive measures of his so called 'People's Government' which had set targets to collect exorbitant taxes from the traders. "Can you please spell out the resources from where you would procure the funds to fulfill your gigantic misleading sugar coated promises for the Punjabis" asked Cheema.
The SAD leader further elaborated that things have gone downhill in Delhi for traders and industrialists who were being harassed through frequent raids by the taxmen. He said Kejriwal had also promised to rationalize VAT whereas VAT was going off the radar from the trade scene next year as the Union Government was bringing in GST. The SAD leader also decried the imposition of special form 'Sugam' which was creating more troubles and adding to the confusion for traders thereby proving to be their bane.
Disclosing more, the SAD leader said things have worsened to such an extent in Delhi that even AAP traders wing has openly opposed the policies of Kejriwal government which had resulted in total chaos on the industrial front in Delhi. Berating Kejriwal further, the SAD leader said no new industry was setup by AAP government in Delhi because the anti-trader policy had left absolutely no room for the establishment of new units. The SAD leader also divulged that even existing industries are shifting to nearby locations such as- Gurugram, Noida, and Faridabad.

Dr Cheema further added that SAD-BJP government had not only made Punjab a power surplus state but it was also providing cheapest power to the industry. "Best work environment, cheapest and uninterrupted power, peace and harmony, and initiative of Invest Punjab office to give every solution to industry under one roof are the initiates of Punjab government that AAP government of Delhi must learn", he added.
