India continued their domination from Test matches and secured a win in the first ODI. New Zealand looked depleted as top order collapsed and at one stage the score read 65 for seven. Tom Latham, who has in good form, along with Tim Southee scored half-centuries as New Zealand posted 190. Hosts India then led by Virat Kohli’s unbeaten 85 chased down the target with six wickets in hand.

In second ODI, to pull things back New Zealand needed a special performance. With Kane Williamson scoring a century it looked like Kiwis will post a challenging target for India. However, the visitors suffered a yet another batting collapse as middle and lower order fell cheaply. New Zealand however managed to reach 242. The home side kept losing wickets and despite couple of good partnerships towards the end failed to chase the target. The win was equally important for the contest in the series. Now with one win backing both the teams it will be interesting to see who has he last laugh. MS Dhoni is unlikely to tinker with the combination. Suresh Raina continues to recover from viral fever and is not fully fir, so he is unlikely to be part of the playing XI. On the other hand, New Zealand will look to retain the winning combination. However, Corey Anderson might have to sit out to make place for another all-rounder James Neesham. Also Catch- India vs New Zealand 3rd ODI Live Score
