What Ayodhya's Ramayana museum will look like

The Centre's proposed Ramayana Museum in Ayodhya has led Uttar Pradesh's ruling Samajwadi Party to announce a Ramlila Park in the poll-bound state. "Our vision is to showcase the life and teachings of Lord Ram in an interactive museum with modern technologies like laser show, virtual storytelling and electronic walls," Union culture and tourism minister Mahesh Sharma said about the proposed museum. The museum's structure will also include 10 galleries, depicting different phases (kand) from the life of Lord Ram. The amount expected to be spent on the project is Rs 181 crore over two phases. Of this, Rs 126 crore is earmarked to build bio-toilets, changing rooms, illumination of ghats and multi-level parking.
