2 rebels injured in encounter have died: Cops

DUMKA: Police are trying to locate the bodies of two Maoist rebels, including that of a woman, who reportedly succumbed to gunshot injuries they received in an encounter with security forces in Belpahadi under Sunderpahadi block of Godda district on October 1.
"We have found out that two rebels who received injuries in an encounter on October 1 have died and have been buried somewhere in the locality" Godda SP Sanjeev Kumar said.He said the identity of the dead rebels can only be revealed once the bodies are found. Police had earlier claimed that at least three rebels had received injuries in the encounter.
