In good news for students, the time period in which you could reinstate your Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) score has now been increased from 60 days to 4 years and 11 months. The means that the entrance for premier B-schools worldwide will allow cancelled scores to be reinstated within 4 years and 11 months. However, this is valid only for exams taken on or after January 1, 2014.

The good news will invoke a sense of relief among all candidates aspiring to make it through business schools abroad. Till now, the procedure was that even when students got eligible for the university, they had to retake the test and pay $250 for it. Now they can do it within the new window.

And to help the students analyse their performance better, the rights and wrongs, there will now be the Enhanced Score Report (ESR) fishing out all details on the break-up of sections and what a student did right or wrong.

“This will enable candidates to prep better if they want to take the test again,” TOI reported Gaurav Srivastav, director, South Asian region, GMAC saying. These changes have been added by the GMAC i.e Graduate Management Admission Council.

Now, the student can go through the process of retaking the test, it’d be mentioned in the final report that the candidate took to B-schools for admission. Now, the candidate can take the test multiple times without the University being aware of it.
